Web Site

Max is part of a PC users group working on improved web design. They are looking for a project to take on. Low maintenance is a key issue. Can it be hosted on the City’s website? Someone needs to ask Bill ____ about it. Rob moved and Karen seconded to pursue a web design project with Alex. Go check out csszengarden.com for some samples.

Washburn-Lane Parkway Phase IV TE-21 Proposal

Don will work on the proposal and revise it to include commentary on the Aaron Douglas Celebration Mural Project and the lighting on Phase III is done. Christy will work on getting the timeline information out. Don will check with the City on the logistics for approval. $5,000 is still outstanding from Robb & Co for the lighting.

Trash from the cleanup with WSGA is still on the streets. The City did not come by and pick it up in some places.

In the September 4th issues of the Capital journal there was a Dick King article with a bunch of inaccuracies in it. We need to be vigilant in ensuring the right information is reported.

Aaron Douglas Art Park

Final budget reconciliation is still pending. The story board design is finished. There will be a two-week turn around on production. Bill Riaphan is still working on the water line. Don Rice had a sheet of ideas about a project for May 2006 at the park.

Chesney Park NIA Mural Project

September 23rd is the notification deadline for funding. Chesney Park will form a committee to start work on coordination.

Washburn – Lane Parkway Phase III

Trees will be planted this fall after all of the lights are in. We need to work on a flyer to let residents know about the planting work by the City. Deb will contact Adam Moser about scheduling and more information.

October Recognition Meeting

Get addresses to Deb ASAP. We think that it will be a good time to recognize TAT and people who helped get it all going: Joan Wagnon; Sue Fackler; and Sally Zellers We decided to make a list of all of the folks who have helped in some way and make it a part of the November General Membership Meeting / Elections.

Nominations

There are 12 positions open for elections. Don will get Bylaws to the Board. Christy and Delores will work on nominations.

College Hill Business District Redevelopment

There was a discussion about some issues being raised by some in the community about Southwind Capital. We will work on getting more information out the organization. We don’t want a poorly built project. FJ Rost (sp?) is the other developer getting property.

Next Board meeting is October 13th at 7 PM.

Meeting adjourned at 9 PM.
