The lights are installed and on. Only a few poles have yet to be installed. The cobra streetlights have to stay up. And the trees are being planted.
Discussion of the status of the proposal… a working draft was passed around. Moved and seconded to approve the $2,500 from Cox Communications to be used for funding. Passed unanimously. Despite what the Saint Francis letter says, we will allocate $3,500 of the pledged $10,000 for lights. Discussion of banners and benches.
Final budget reconciliation is still pending. The story board design is finished and on order. The water line is in. Working on getting permission to use a photograph of the mural for promotional materials.
The funding grant was not approved. They had no assurance of a continuation of such a big project.
Asked about getting the drawings posted on a website for viewing by the public. We need to work on getting people to the various meetings in support of this.
Discussion of the addresses for recognition.
Next Board meeting is November 10th at 7 PM.
