Meeting:

  1. Information packets were distributed regarding the College Hill Redevelopment.
  2. Motion 1: We firmly and fully support the College Hill Redevelopment as proposed by Southwind Capital, LLC. Motion by Karen Hiller. Seconded by Delores Smith. Passed on voice vote of board.

    Motion 2: The TurnAround Team supports Jerry's Bike Shop in getting a reasonable deal as part of the College Hill Redevelopment as proposed by Southwind Capital, LLC. Motion by Karen Hiller. Seconded by Delores Smith. Passed on voice vote of board.

    A draft of a flier about trees on the parkway was discussed and amended. Trees are being planted in some areas of the parkway.

  3. Delores reported on the efforts to date of the nominating committee. There are still some people to contact, but many of the positions have nominees.
  4. The Board decided to postpone a large recognition of past efforts until the Spring, perhaps the April meeting. The November meeting would be the Annual Meeting and a reports on the projects underway for 2006.
  5. Priorities for 2006 to be discussed at the November meeting:

People who are interested in improving the quality and image of Central Topeka, particularly people who live in or own property in the Central Topeka area from Monroe to MacVicar and 21st to the Kansas River, are particularly encouraged to attend. For further information, call 234-2883.
