Rob Banks called the meeting to order at 7 PM.
Present were: Rob Banks; Mary Blossom; Karen Hiller; Alex Kovalchuk; Roy O’Neil;
Don Rice; Delores Smith; and Don Taylor.

1 – Don Rice reviewed the financial report. $428.90 in unpledged assets.
2 – Discussion of Vice Chair. Mark Works may be moving back into College
Hill area.
3 – Discussion of the programs: The July general meeting is cancelled;
August program a Washburn-Lane Redevelopment opening?; September will
be the Aaron Douglas Art Fair; October will be the fall recognitions (307 S
Kansas and the folks who helped with the spring floods was offered)
4 – Discussion of Washburn Student Government Association / TAT joint
project. We need to coordinate more on projects and work with willing
property owners. August 18th 9 to noon. Working on a bus trip to the
Spencer Museum on September 22nd for the Aaron Douglas art show. The art
fair is September 8.
5 – Washburn-Lane Parkway. Don had no report. The 5th & Washburn
project won’t happen this year. More planning / coordination with the City
is required.
6 – Alex gave a report on some ideas for the website.
7 – Other Items: Suggested that email be included on general membership
roster; We need to figure out fund raising for discretionary funds.
8 – Central Park is working on SORT funds selection of blocks; Chesney Park
is working on skateboard equipment at the park and getting 40 street lights
installed for crime prevention.
