The TurnAround Team, Inc. Board Meeting 9 October 2008

Duane Pomeroy called the meeting to order at 7 PM.
Present were: Karen Hiller; Barbara Leal; Roy O’Neil; Duane Pomeroy; Don Rice;
Delores Smith; Don Taylor; Linda Woolf; and Heidi Zeller.
1 – Roy asked if TAT would write a letter of endorsement on behalf of
Chesney Park NIA for CDBG Target Area funds. Linda Woolf moved and Don
Rice seconded. Motion passed unopposed.
2 – Don Rice reviewed the financial report. Aaron Douglas Art Fair notes cars
are for sale. Current ending balance is $3,794.34.
3 – Aaron Douglas Art Fair debriefing is Saturday. Karen reported on food
vendors.
4 – Report from Heidi Zeller on the Cultural Planning process. The old ice
house on 1100 block of Buchanan was built in 1913. The Wishing Tree
ribbons from the Aaron Douglas Art Fair have been moved to WU? Justin &
Bailey Marabel are artists living in the Kenwood area. Implementation will
include such things as: Event organizing; Press/PR; Outreach; Fund raising;
and Others. Open discussion of how we should prioritize the tasks.
5 – Motion to allow Duane to speak on behalf of TAT in support of spot
rezoning in Historic Old Town contingent upon HOT NIA support. (This is for
a housing project on Western that is saving an old duplex being moved
there.) Don Rice moved and Linda Woolf seconded. Passed unopposed.
