Don Taylor called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
Present were: Rogers Brazier; Jake Fisher; Clara Gamache; Sally Kahle; Alex
Kovalchuk; Karen Hiller; Duane Pomeroy; Delores Smith; Don Taylor; and Linda
Woolf.

1 – Don Rice died. Board members are strongly encouraged to send a card of
condolence. The cards will go with Don to a service in Oklahoma.
2 – Rogers Brazier reported on a request from WSGA for us to participate in a
Safety Week project on March 26th. Clara and Delores will go.
3 – Financial report from Linda Woolf. The funds at the Topeka community
Foundation incur a service fee of 1% per year. The TCF annual meeting is
March 24th at 5:30 PM at the Topeka Country Club.
4 – There will be a “Speed Chat With The Candidates” on March 23rd at 6:00
PM at the Ramada Convention Center. Encourage people to go.
5 – Next Board meeting is April 9th at 7 PM.
6 – Don asked for input for recognitions. Alex offered the Upstage Gallery.
Recognitions meeting is the 27th.
7 – The Arts & Culture Team will report on April 9th.
8 – There will be an astronomy party at Boswell Square Park on March 28th,
weather permitting. HB 2083 seems to be weakening state statues for
historic preservation. HB 2155 is targeting Topeka only for some sore of
property bank that facilitates demolitions. “Rethink Topeka” is lookingat
some sort of event in spring 2010.
