The TurnAround Team, Inc. Board Meeting
13 January 2011
Duane Pomeroy called the meeting to order at 7:05 PM.

Present were: Stephanie Hall; Sandy Jadlot; Alex Kovalchuk; Frank Meadows; Duane
Pomeroy; Delores Smith; and Don Taylor.
1 – Stephanie presented the financial reports for December and January to
date. ADAF money in checking is $739.39 and TAT money in checking is
$1,388.40. TAT money in savings is $200.44. In January the savings was
rolled into the checking. Delores moved and Sandy seconded to accept the
financial reports as presented; Motion passed unopposed with Frank
abstaining.

2 – Report on the activity of Harvesters. The distribution will not be at the
Topeka Bible Church. It now appears that it will be at the Expocentre on the
second Tuesday in March at 9 AM. Delores is looking at a blanket liability
insurance policy which Expo wants. It is now on county property. The
liability will be an umbrella that will cover everything. HND will “advertise”
it through their notes out to the NIAs. Working on a training program for
volunteers for our February 28th General Meeting.

3 – Stephanie reported on the Aaron Douglas Art Fair. It will be September
24th and will focus on promoting emerging artist in music and poetry.
Musicians can enter this year to perform at the Legacy Stage whicle will still
be the “quiet” stuff. Artists will still pay an entry fee, but not musicians /
poets. The Kid Zone will not have nearly as many adult size t-shirts and there
will be a “poster” for the kids to color. Call for artists is March 15th with
entry deadline on July 29th. This will let people are accepted work on
generating buzz. ADAF is on Facebook. We are looking at something as a
tribute to Don Rice. Parking continues to be a challenge, but there will be a
coordinator assigned specifically to manage it. Volunteers can park at the
Library's south employee lot... and walk.

4 – Topeka High School is facing a number of challenges from the No Child
Left Behind testing / improvement requirements.

5 – Other Reports
There is some concern about still having our “address” at Buchanan Center.
Delores and Duane will check out if we need to make a change. Don will look
at the requirements for a physical address for our Annual Report filing.

6 – The Annual Meeting is in January which will also be elections. Discussion
