GENERAL MINUTES OF TURNAROUND TEAM MEETING

The TurnAround Team, Inc. General Meeting – 28 November 2005

Deb Swank, Chair, called the annual meeting to order at 7 PM. In attendance were 24 people.

  1. Delores Smith gave a report on the nominating committee slate. Slate accepted without dissent. Deb Swank, Chair; Rob Banks, Vice-Chair and Treasurer, and Don Taylor, Secretary.
  2. Henry McClure reported on the status of work on the College Hill Business District redevelopment.
  3. Karen Hiller reported on the history and current status of the Washburn-Lane Parkway Lighting Project.
  4. Karen Hiller reported on the history and current status of the Aaron Douglas Celebration Mural Project.
  5. Alex Kovalchuk reported on the current work on the website and showed some examples of format.
  6. Roy O’Neil reported on current work by Chesney Park on a possible mural project on the Topeka Water facility at 19th and Western.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:50 PM.

People who are interested in improving the quality and image of Central Topeka, particularly people who live in or own property in the Central Topeka area from Monroe to MacVicar and 21st to the Kansas River, are particularly encouraged to attend. For further information, call 234-2883.
