| Duane Pomeroy called the meeting to order at 7 PM. 33 people in attendance. |
The program was the fall recognitions. Entities recognized were: Topeka
Independent Living Resource Center for the Equality Garden at 1015 SW
Boswell; Carson Financial Services at 716 S Kansas; Doug Jones and Barb
Quaney at 821 SW Western; and the City of Topeka Housing and Neighborhood
Development Department and Parks and Recreation Department for the
Elmhurst Green.
Afterwards Justin Marabel gave a presentation on a concept of “Rethinking
Topeka”. It could be an art event downtown featuring area artists in a
multimedia format. It could showcase buildings and performances. The focus
would art in and about Topeka. Maybe have website for submissions. Hold it on
a Saturday for a walkabout.
